FAQ
The Basics
Q: So, what actually is Ripple?
A: Ripple is the operating system for modern collaboration. We aren’t just another inbox to check; we’re an async-first platform designed to help teams meet less and achieve more.
We bring your chats, video calls, tasks, notes, and projects into one simple space to replace chaos and noise with clarity and progress.
Q: How is this different from Slack or Zoom?
A: Most tools fragment your day. You talk in one app, meet in another, and track work in a third. Ripple connects the dots. We combine the best parts of those tools but build them around the “Flipped Meeting Model”. Instead of interrupting your flow for a status update, you share context asynchronously (we call these Jams), and only meet live when you need to make a decision.
Q: What exactly is a “Jam”?
A: Think of a Jam as a meeting room that’s open 24/7, but you don’t all have to be there at the same time. It’s a topic-focused space where you can share a quick 3-minute video update, drop in some files, or debate an idea on your own schedule. It’s how we move work forward without blocking each other’s calendars.
Q: Is Ripple just for remote teams?
A: Not at all. While we are great for remote and hybrid teams across time zones, Ripple is really for any team that values their time. Whether you’re down the hall or across the ocean, we help you clear the noise so you can focus on the work that matters.
Features & Workflow
Q: Do you use AI?
A: We sure do - but we use it to give you time back, not just for the sake of it. Ripple’s human-centred automation handles the grunt work. It transcribes your calls, generates summaries of your Jams, and automatically extracts action items so you don’t have to play secretary.
Q: What happens to my data? (Is it secure?)
A: Absolutely. We take security seriously - Ripple is SOC 2 compliant and enterprise-ready from day one. All your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your calls, notes, and summaries stay secure, and your data always stays yours.
Q: Does Ripple integrate with my calendar?
A: Yes. We sync with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. We use your calendar data to help our Smart Scheduler find the best times for a call (if you really need one), but your specific events remain private to you.
Q: What file types are supported?
A: PDFs, Office docs, images, CSV, and JSON up to 250 MB. Larger files should be zipped first.
Q: How do I invite a new teammate?
A: Go to Admin → Users, click Invite, assign a role, and send the invite. If they miss the email, resend from the same screen.
Q: Where can I download invoices?
A: In Admin → Billing. You can export PDF or CSV and send directly to your accounts payable team.
Getting Started
Q: How hard is it to switch to Ripple?
A: We’ve kept it simple. We know you don’t want a steep learning curve, so we designed an onboarding flow that gets you set up in about 10 minutes.
You can start by “flipping” just one recurring meeting — like your weekly stand-up — to see how much time you save.
Q: Can I try it before I buy it?
A: Definitely. You can jump in solo to start your first Jam, or bring the crew for a free 14-day team pilot. We reckon you’ll see results in your first week.
Q: What’s the pricing like?
A: Transparent and simple. We don’t like hidden costs. Instead of paying for five different tools (which can run $100+ per user), Ripple gives you everything in one workspace for a fraction of the cost.
Q: I’m stuck. Where can I get help?
A: We’ve got you covered. You can check our Learn Centre for guides, or email our support team directly. We’re here to help you get it sorted!
