Channels
Your Home Base
Channels keep collaboration organised.
Think of Channels as the dedicated home base for a specific team (e.g. ‘Marketing’) or project (e.g. ‘Website’). Instead of scattering context across different apps, a Channel groups every tool your team needs to collaborate (Chats, Jams, Tasks, and Notes) into one specific space.
Inside a Channel:
Inside a channel, you’ll find tabs for Chat, Jams, Tasks, and Notes.
| Feature | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Chat | Real-time conversation with threads & replies |
| Jams | Workspaces created under this Channel |
| Tasks | All actions generated within this Channel |
| Notes | Shared docs for plans, briefs, or decisions |
📌 Are you a visual learner? Check out the video below for an in-depth, interactive walkthrough of this feature.
Creating a Channel:
Get your team organized by creating a dedicated space for context.
-
Click + New Channel under the Collab header in your sidebar.
-
Name it: Give it a clear name (e.g. ‘Marketing’) so the team knows what it’s for.
-
Set Visibility: Choose Public (open to the org) or Private (invite-only).
-
Add details: Add a short description and pick an emoji icon to give the channel some personality and make it easy to identify.
-
Gather the team: Invite your teammates or grab the access link to share directly.
[!TIP] Tool Tip: 💡 Keep your workspace clean. If a project is finished, archive the Channel to remove the clutter without deleting the history.
